Statisticans do it. After all, it is only normal. Why didn't the statistian ever marry? Because statisticians don't like giving up that one degree of freedom. |
Maths, Science and Technology, Education
Queensland I am enjoying working alongside the Maths, Science and Technology folks. In particular Laurie Vogler, Principal Education Officer, has given me the opportunity to develop my project and has fully supported this project (eg, with a spiffy new computer). John Martin, Senior Education Officer, Technology, has provided witty, clever and insightful assistance on an almost daily basis. Neville Grace, Senior Education Officer, Secondary Mathematics, has spent a large number of hours proofreading these web pages and testing the worksheets. University of Queensland I have had interesting and fruitful conversations with the statisticians in the Maths Department of the University of Queensland. Special thanks to Richard Wilson for allowing me to participate in MS111 and Gordon Smyth for much helpful advice. Use of Copyright Material Thanks to: Jerry Hinze for allowing me to use portions of his clearly written help files from the NCSS statistics program; the Australian Bureau of Meteorology for use of data; NCSS Jr. 6.0 All of the graphical displays in this website have been produced using NCSS Jr. 6.0, a free public domain statistics program available from the web. Statistics Mailing List Contributors I have been a member of the EdStat-l mailing list for over 18 months and the AP-Stat mailing list since it was formed. Much of the statistics that I have learned has come from members of these lists. You'll find wisdom from these folks sprinkled throughout these pages.
